The generic groups around Agaricus and Lepiota are characterized by their free gills. During our stay in Burkina Faso, we realized that you generic concepts in these groups did not work outside Europe. For example the borders between Agaricus, Hymenagaricus, Micropsalliota and Psathyrella were are hard to find and much future work on these groups seems nessesary.
