With lots of solitary trees, the polypores were a an eyecatching group and quite dominant gorup af fungi in and near Ouagadougou. Especially species of the genera Phellinus and Inonotus were frequently seen. I the parks of the city other genera like Ganoderma, Gloeophyllum and Grammothele were seen.
